The wife of Denver resident Blaine Tucker reported her husband as missing to the Denver police yesterday. Blaine Tucker had left for a three day camping trip seven days prior to Mrs. Tucker filing the report. According to Mrs. Tucker, her husband embarks on solo hiking trips on a semi-regular basis. When Blaine Tucker missed his return date, his wife was not alarmed, but after seven days without contact, Mrs. Tucker enlisted the help of the Denver police department.

“I’m never worried when he comes back a day or two late,” said Mrs. Tucker, “Blaine is experienced and he’s always careful.”

Mrs. Tucker stated that the complete lack of contact is what initially caused her concern.

“My husband isn’t always able to get in touch when he’s out in the woods, but if he’s going to take more than an extra day or two, he always finds a way to contact me,” stated Mrs. Tucker. “I haven’t heard from him for seven days now. Something must be wrong and I really appreciate any help I can get finding my husband.”

Blaine Tucker works as a high school shop teacher and is an avid outdoor enthusiast. Administration personnel at Tucker’s place of employment confirmed that he had requested two days off last week. The head of Tucker’s department said that he was also alarmed when Tucker did not return to work when scheduled.

Blaine Tucker and his wife have one young child together.

“Our daughter is worried sick,” says Mrs. Tucker, “She wants to know what happened to her dad.”

Mrs. Tucker stated that she does not believe her husband suffered any misfortune in the woods.

“I highly doubt that Blaine ran into any trouble while camping. He’s very experienced and careful. I think it is much more likely that something happened to him on the way home,” says Mrs. Tucker.

Mrs. Tucker is considering offering a reward for information that leads to find her husband. She stated: “I believe in my heart that we can find him. Please contact the Denver police if you know anything at all.”
