(Newswire.net — June 1, 2014)  — Hawaii home health care services company is launching a new series of Elder Care Terms videos. Visiting Caregivers LLC developed a short series of educational videos that are upbeat and informative. Owners, Robert Baptista and Virginia Baptista, RN, want to help the elderly and their families better understand phases of elder care, including Hawaii home care options. “When we meet with families one of the first things we notice is how unfamiliar many people are with senior care terminology. If a loved one needs elder care it can be overwhelming and knowing terms such as in home care services and assisted living services can be helpful,” Robert Baptista said.

“When families are faced with caring for elders they enter a process of learning about geriatric care. Terms used by elder care professionals are not always recognized by the general public. We are in home health care professionals by choice. We enjoy providing safe, quality care and we have fun doing it. We developed our Senior Care at Home Hawaii video series to help families and senior citizens learn about aspects of elder care and have fun in the process. Our videos will introduce senior care terms to the general public in a positive light,” continued Baptista.

There are seven “Elder Care Terms” videos and they cover various aspects of senior care including Hawaii home care. The videos are animated and they are less than two minutes long and generally have no more than 6 terms in each video. “We have fun caring for seniors providing Hawaii home care and we want elders and families to have fun learning about senior caregiving,” said Virginia Baptista, RN.

Two “Elder Care Terms” videos are released and are on the Visiting Caregivers LLC YouTube channel. The remaining videos will be released at the rate of one per week. The videos will all be uploaded to the Visiting Caregivers LLC website. “We want people to look forward to learning elder care terminology,” said Robert Baptista.
