IRAQ Builders is a voluntary team which was founded after the rainstorm of winter 2012. The dtorm caused many roofs of poor families’ houses to collapsed in Baghdad and many other Iraqi cities,

The team decided to stand together by this part of the community against suffering. They’re a group of doctors, pharmacists, engineers, workers, businessmen and many other professions from the Iraqi society standing together with the forgotten and neglected poor families against poverty and the severity of life,

The working process of this team is based on using social networks in order to: 1- Recruit volunteers. 2- Raise donations. 3- Launch urgent help calls for medical and humanitarian conditions that require rapid intervention either financially or on the ground. 4- Publish updates about our projects, initiatives, and latest developments related to urgent help calls and volunteer achievements.

Alla Malath, a 23 years old volunteer, says, “it’s been 14 months since I joined Iraq builders, I just want to say that anyone can help Iraq. It’s wrong saying it’s not my business, it’s your country, so it’s your business. If you help to put a smile on Orphaned kids, that will change your vision of Life. With every mission we take, we learn new lessons.”

Mustafa Mohammed, a 20 years old volunteer, says, “We need to live in a community where there is no Social differences. We need to make a new culture in Iraqi peoples’ mind based on respecting and loving other people even if they are different. The shortest way to happiness is when you help other people, that’s when you will appreciate life.”

The founder of Iraqi builders team, Dr.Elaf M. Al-hijazi, says, “we need a stable source of money so it will make our work better and easier. We want international organizations and foundations to put us in the map of their plans, and we need a full time work-trackers to evaluate the job we do so we can have a better impact in the Iraqi community.”

Since 2012 more than 70 houses were build and repaired for poor families, and the volunteers are willing to to continue the work without stopping.
