(Newswire.net — February 17, 2015) Kingston, Jamaica — Tourism Minister Wykeham McNeill says the island attracted 3.5 million visitors in 2014 and of those, 1.4 million tourists arrived in Jamaica on cruise ships.
With tourism in Jamaica only expected to grow this year, tourist are making plans to visit the island and secure their lodging and tours early.
“We have noticed an increase in people secure their booking way ahead of time. We are getting reservations up to a year in advance. We are also seeing an increase in corporate bookings and people reserving our entire resort for birthdays, anniversaries and weddings!” says Mike Shea, owner of Little Bay Cabins in Little London, Jamaica.
