Nonprofit and religious organizations have important work to accomplish and have limited funds to accomplish their vision. Effective leadership is the answer. Leadership is a skill, however leadership is a high functioning culture. Hugh Ballou has systems and tools for empowering teams and orchestrating transformation. His system with shared in the one-day session for Philly’s tax expemt organizations and business leaders.

The secrets of leadership are not help by just one person. Hugh Ballou works with legendary leaders as well as the top musical conductors to combine the wisdom of effective leadership into a single, continuous leadership system based on the style of leadership, Transformational Leadership, defined by Burns and Bass in the 1980’s. Effective leadership depends on a culture of excellence provided by high performance teams.

Ballou’s unique methodology is created from the skills of the musical conductor using the secrets employed by conductors each day achieving excellence of performance enabling teams to respond to the leader as a find tuned musical ensemble responds to every nuance of the conductor.

The Leadership Empowerment Symposium is a one-day intensive for business leaders, nonprofit Executive Directors, Board Chairs, Pastors, Rabbis, and other leaders in social benefit work. This one-day intensive session is designed to present the aspects of Transformational Leadership as a skill set and as a system. According to Hugh Hugh Ballou, “Leadership is a culture and not a training program”.

Ballou is known as ‘The Transformational Leadership StrategistTM’ and will be presenting the program.  He has developed and extensive body of content based on his 40 years working as a musical conductor and applying the leadership skills of the conductor to organizational leadership, culture development, board development and personal leadership skills. In hundreds of engagements with nonprofits on 4 continents, Ballou has developed a proprietary program that uncovers the missing elements of traditional leadership methodologies.

His online training programs, leadership magazine Nonprofit Professional Performance 360 Magazine, online “Community for Community Builders”, and keynote presentations have influenced leaders around the globe.

Having developed the methodology, Ballou is sharing the leadership system with social benefit leaders in 10 cities in 2015. Ballou says the session will be interactive and will include leadership content, board and staff development, conflict management systems, problem solving that will “address actual issues of participants”.
