Belts Are Bigger Than Ever This Fashion Season

(Newswire.net — November 13, 2015) Corona, California –These bold, waist cinching accessories were a particularly high point on the Milan runways this past spring, where they added the perfect contrast to garments worn by models representing designers ranging from Donatella Versace to Roberto Cavalli.  But whether it’s a runway model strutting the catwalk with this brave new look or an urban fashionista strutting the streets of Los Angeles matters little.

What matters is that oversized fashion belts can transform everything from flowery bohemian frocks to bold power suits into exciting new outfits with a more defined, but still subtle sense of figure.  The fact that these brilliantly designed accessories are taking the classic hourglass figure back from outfits that seem to have somehow stolen it is, without a doubt, a huge part of what is driving this trend.

Oversized fashion belts can also provide a much needed focal point to outfits that need it.  The relatively simple mirror-like belt adorning a model representing Roksanda Ilincic on the runway in London provided the perfect complement to the careful, geometric arrangement of color upon her dress.  On the opposite end of the spectrum, a frilly corset-style designed belt can give an elegant accent to a monochromatic blue denim two piece.  Whatever an outfit might have been before, properly chosen fashion belts can provide a transformational flair that can result in an entirely new wardrobe.

This isn’t the only accessory that is getting bigger and bolder this fashion season.  Massive, ornate golden breastplate necklaces have appeared in Giambattista Valli’s collection, while playful pom-pom bangles have been released by Burberry.  As these trends migrate off the runway and into the streets, it is important that those devoted to optimizing their personal style have something both svelte and sizable cinching their waists.

Fortunately, designed belts are considerably more affordable than Dolce and Gobanna’s $8000.00 princess crown-like headphones, which were also sported by the models on Milan’s runways last spring.  Fashion belts are a luxury that the average consumer can actually afford.  And given the beautiful, out-of-the-box designs that highly stylized buckles can be adorned with, even the most fashion conscious consumer could accomplish a complete, smart look without even putting on any other accessories.

Anyone with a sense of style would do well to “buckle into” this trend before the fashion world changes its mind again.  And where could be a better place to start than by sampling the superior, stylish collection of Lejon of California?
