Drywall Review Website Goes Live

(Newswire.net — March 15, 2016) Seattle, WA — A new website designed to help homeowners find someone to install or repair their home’s drywall is live online starting today.

The TLC Drywall website provides some easy advice and guidance regarding how and when a homeowner should contact a professional drywall contractor to do repairs or installation to their home’s interior walls or ceilings.

The site’s publisher, Ian Phi, said his new site is designed to shorten the time it takes for a homeowner to find a professional contractor and arrange an initial meeting with them and get a new project started.

“This website is for the person who has a home renovation project that involves either installing new walls and ceiling, or includes some substantial wall or ceiling repairs,” stated Phi, “Our site tries to facilitate the meeting between the property owner and the contractor who can get the project done.”

“Look, everyone is looking for the best contractor and the best price,” continued Phi, “But the best ones aren’t cheap and the cheapest ones don’t always do a great job, so a lot of people end up going with a middle-range, dependable company that offers comparable rates and does a good job.”

“Drywall has to be painted, so every drywall project ends up being a painting project too,” he said, “Lots of people end up doing their own painting, but some people hate painting, so they need to hire a painting service as well. Many drywall companies also offer interior painting too, so if that is something you are looking to hire out as well, it is sometimes just easier to find one company that will do both jobs.”

Drywall Repairs Can Be Difficult

While the basic idea of putting up and taping drywall is pretty straightforward, Phi stated that it is harder than it looks and it takes some practice to get good at it.

“Many property owners have the idea that they can install drywall themselves in order to save a bunch of money,” Phi said, “But when it comes to the taping, texturing and finishing, that’s where inexperienced installers make the small mistakes that can add up to a bad-looking finished product.”

“The small mistakes don’t really show up when the homeowner is doing the drywall work, they show up after the wall is finished and painted,” concluded Phi, “Once a wall or ceiling is painted and the light hits it just right, that’s when the homeowner will see all their little mistakes. And by then, it’s way to late to fix them. And, unfortunately, everyone else will see those mistakes as well. That’s why we advise homeowners to hire a pro to do it.”

Phi mentioned that he is interested in hearing from anyone who has installed walls or ceilings lately and would like to discuss their experience. For more details, you can visit http://www.TLCDryWall.com.
