Romance Author Event Returns to Portland Oregon in 2016

(Newswire.net — March 28, 2016) Portland , Oregon — Romance Readers in Oregon and Washington were excited to hear that the Passion in Portland – Romance Author Signing Event will become an annual event in Portland, Oregon.

Over 60 romance authors from the northwest and across the country have committed to attend the signing event this September in the Rose City. All romance genres will be represented; historical romance authors, contemporary romance novelists, urban fantasy and paranormal romance authors, with a few writers of erotic romance sprinkled in for some spice in what should be the Northwest’s largest author signing event in 2016.

“Last year’s event was amazing!” stated event host AJ Harmon, Oregon’s own USA Today Bestselling author. “More authors and romance readers attended our inaugural event than any other author signing in the northwest. With New York Times Bestselling Authors like Melody Ann and Cassia Leo and 60 more novelists returning to Portland, we hope the event will be even larger and more exciting than 2015 Passion in Portland event.”

The Passion in Portland – Romance Author Signing Event will be held at the Crowne Plaza Downtown Portland hotel on September 10th, 2016 from noon to 3pm. General Admission Tickets are only $15 and includes a PIP Swag Bag to carry all of your collectibles from the event.

New at this year’s event is the collector’s edition of the Passion in Portland 2016 Anthology. 20 romance writers that will be attending the signing event have committed to donate a short story to the anthology to raise money for charity. Bradley Angle, a domestic violence shelter in Portland, OR will receive the proceeds from the sales of the collector’s edition of the Passion in Portland 2016 Anthology.

“Bradley Angle does a wonderful job of helping domestic violence survivors find a new and safer path,” Harmon explained. “The authors of Passion in Portland are united in their desire to do more to help such a worthy cause and the survivors who desperately need resources to escape abuse. All the proceeds from the prize raffle and profits from the anthology are going to support the local shelter.”
