(Newswire.net — February 2, 2018) — A local internet marketing company in Apex has launched a huge rally for Casen Whitehead’s fight against Leukemia. Social Media Lynx was impressed with the supporters from the city of Holly Spring, NC, and also supports Casen’s fight against ALL Leukemia.

Stuart, the CEO of Social Media Lynx, believes in the support of individuals like Casen Whitehead, and started his company to help support local businesses, and support local communities. Social Media Lynx is proud to contribute to the campaign to help Casen get the treatment he needs.

Named “Casen’s Crusaders”, the page has already raised over $20,000 in five days. The goal is to hit $25,000, so that Casen can get the help he needs, and the family explains that no donation is too small.

ALL Leukemia is a type of cancer in which the bone marrow makes too many white blood cells of a particular type, and progresses rapidly. It requires immediate treatment, and is a very rare condition.

The blood cells in the human body are produced by bone marrow, which can create red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Normally bone marrow doesn’t release stem cells into the blood until they are fully developed, but in the rare acute lymphoblastic leukemia, excess white blood cells are released before they are ready.

This then has the knock on effect of decreasing red blood cells and platelets, causing symptoms of anaemia, tiredness, and increased risk of bleeding.

Anyone can join Casen’s fight against the illness by contributing to his page on the URL above. Social Media Lynx is urging as many people to donate as possible.

The page states: “This will be a 3 year battle and he and his family need our support! This go fund me page has been set up to help with medical expenses and anything to do with Casen’s care and treatment. No donation is too small. Please keep Ryan, Lee, Casen, Hailey and Dylan in your thoughts and prayers.”
