(Newswire.net — August 24, 2018) Orlando, FL — When it comes to combating arthritis, many sufferers turn to the use of a wide variety of pain management options. There are medications to choose from, but there are also natural remedies thought to be helpful to sufferers.

New research highlights turmeric’s anti-arthritic abilities. This natural ingredient has various bioactive agents, and one is called curcumin. Curcumin has been thought to be responsible for many of the spice’s healing effects.

There have even been studies that reveal curcumin’s therapeutic agents are as powerful as those substances found in many pharmaceutical drugs. Some of the therapeutic agents in curcumin are its antibacterial, antiseptic, antiviral, antimicrobial, anticoagulant, antitumor, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties.

In a new research study, it was found that curcumin doesn’t only have anti-inflammatories, but also anti-arthritic properties. It has even been revealed that a highly bioavailable form of curcumin was more useful for easing rheumatoid arthritis symptoms than nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

It is important to remember that NSAIDs are useful for temporarily easing pain. However, it is more vital to not forget that the use of these medications has been linked with side effects.

In the study, it has been found that 14 percent of the NSAID group withdrew from the study due to the side effects the medication could potentially cause. Some of these side effects are the risks of heart attack, stroke, ulcers and heart problems.

None in the curcumin group left the study. It is worth mentioning that long-term and frequent use of NSAIDs has been associated with an increased risk of side effects.

According to statistics, there are a minimum of 2 million Americans who have rheumatoid arthritis. In recent years, this number has been found to be increasing. A majority of individuals with the condition have a progressive disability.

Researchers have further revealed that 50 to 70 percent of sufferers succumb to disability within five years after the onset of the condition. Half of this population stops working within 10 years. It is further worthy to mention that in the United States, the annual cost of the condition is estimated to reach more than $1 billion.

The anti-arthritic abilities of turmeric have long been known to be strong. As a matter of fact, there have been quite a number of arthritis sufferers who turn to the use of curcumin supplements. Curcumin supplements have been thought to be a safer alternative to pain medications.

This is due to the fact that it doesn’t just have strong anti-inflammatories, but it is also safer to use. Pain relievers, such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, could cause side effects.

Incredipure’s curcumin supplements are widely popular in the international market today.
