Unless urgent action is taken, the world faces an ever-increasing global waste crisis. At its current rate, the globe could see an increase of 70% of current waste levels by 2050. That volume of waste, its composition, and how it’s being managed creates an estimated 1.6 billion tons of carbon dioxide. That is nearly 5 percent of global emissions.
At the same time, there are nearly 740 million people around the world living below the poverty line, currently set at $1.90 or less a day, according to the World Bank. Of those people, women are more likely than men to be poor.
To support the globe in both of these crises, Earth Clean Solutions has developed and launched a new technology that collects, shreds, pulverizes, and freezes garbage. Once pulverized through their process, it is mixed with chemicals and water to create fuel that can be used to run the ships that collect the garbage.
At the same time, Earth Clean Solutions hires impoverished underserved women to collect this garbage, ensuring they have everything they need to run the business and gain access to a better future. This includes micro-loans, cell phones, and more.
Founded in 2018 by Dr. Philip Milanovich, Earth Clean Solutions was created to address the garbage crisis on a global scale. In that process, Dr. Milanovich developed a new technology and realized the women working to collect garbage could be paid directly with a newly developed cryptocurrency model.
The near-term plan for Earth Clean Solutions is to place the company’s proprietary technology at the mouths of rivers. Given that 10 rivers are the source of 80% of our ocean’s garbage, that will reduce the amount of waste dramatically.
