(Newswire.net — December 19, 2022) Orlando, FL — Over the years, researchers have been studying how food intake or choices significantly influence mental health.

A study has even shown that there is likely a higher association between women’s mental health and dietary factors than men’s.

This research was carried out by investigators from Binghamton University, State University of New York.

Previously, Lina Begdache, assistant professor of health and wellness studies at Binghamton University, had previously published a study on diet and mood.

It suggests that a high-quality diet enhances mental health. Begdache wanted to test whether diet customization improves mood among men and women ages 30 or older.

She worked with research assistant Cara M. Patrissy, Begdache in dissecting the different food groups linked with mental distress in women and men ages 30 years and above. They also studied the different dietary patterns in relation to mental distress and exercise frequency.

The study findings suggest that in women, there is a higher association with dietary factors than that in men. The researchers also highlight that mental distress as well as exercise frequency were linked with different dietary and lifestyle patterns.

It is worth keeping in mind it supports the concept that customizing diet and lifestyle factors could improve mental well-being.

“Interestingly, we found that for unhealthy dietary patterns, the level of mental distress was higher in women than in men, which confirmed that women are more susceptible to unhealthy eating than men,” Begdache said.

It is worth keeping in mind that skipping breakfast, fast food, caffeine, and high-glycemic (HG) food are all linked with mental distress in mature women. Dietary factors are undeniably influential on mental health. Experts continue to carry out studies to look into the techniques helpful in warding off depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues.

The good news is that certain remedies like the use of B vitamins are found particularly beneficial. Over the years, B vitamin intake has long been associated with a myriad of health benefits.

Some studies suggest that the use of these nutrients can be particularly beneficial for brain health. This is why they are highly recommended for the protection and overall improvement of the brain. Aside from food, there are supplements like Divine Bounty B Vitamin Complex helpful in delivering the healing goodness of these nutrients.

It contains Choline, Pantothenic acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Niacin, Riboflavin, Thiamin, and vitamin B6.
