(Newswire.net — September 18, 2018) Orlando, FL — Erectile dysfunction and cardiovascular disease are two prevalent conditions that many men suffer from nowadays. Unfortunately, it appears that these two may be connected with each other.

A new study was published in the Vascular Medicine journal.

In this research, ED may be an early indicator that cardiovascular disease may develop or is already developing. It has been recommended that men with this condition should have a more rigorous cardiovascular assessment.

According to experts, ED is characterized by an inability to maintain or even get an erection.

In the United States, there is an estimated number of 30 million men who suffer from ED. It has been found that the risk of having this condition increases with age.

Scientists found that ED can potentially produce a range of negative implications on the psychological health of a man. It may lead to anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem.

In previous studies, it has been found that ED sufferers are at an increased risk of suffering from cardiovascular disease. It is important to remember that CVD is an umbrella term used for conditions affecting the heart and blood vessels.

Dr. Chukwuemeka Osondu of Baptist Health South Florida in Miami-Dade County, however, said that it is unknown which markers of subclinical CVD have the greatest or most consistent association with ED.

Some experts also recommend that ED is associated with endothelial dysfunction. A study was conducted by Dr. Osondu and his colleagues.

This systematic review and meta-analysis of 28 studies tried to see the association between ED and the early signs of CVD.

They found that there is a strong link between ED and poor endothelial function. It is worth mentioning that endothelial dysfunction is actually an early sign of atherosclerosis.

Atherosclerosis is a condition that happens when plaque accumulates in the arteries, which increases the risk of stroke and heart attack.

Scientists further found that ED was associated with an increase in the thickness of carotid intimal medial, which is an early marker of atherosclerosis.

Men are strongly advised to take the measures necessary in warding off erectile dysfunction and heart disease. It can be made by simply following a healthy diet and lifestyle.

There are many nutrients found in healthy foods that could potentially aid in fighting these conditions. These nutrients can also be found in supplements like Divine Bounty Men’s Multivitamins.
