(Newswire.net — August 21, 2020) Las Vegas, NV — While previous studies have found that cancer may develop due to genetic predisposition, it is important to remember that it could also be due to the foods people consume regularly.

Crystal Langlois, RD, LD, Director of Nutrition at our hospital near Atlanta, warns that it’s easy to fall victim to claims on TV, on the Internet and in articles regarding foods or drinks that cause cancer.

“It’s always a good plan to rely on information from reputable sources,” she adds.

The World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) provides some classifications on carcinogens. They did so by identifying how these carcinogens are likely to trigger cancer.

The IARC warns against intake of alcohol, which when the body metabolizes and produces acetaldehyde.

Experts warn this chemical compound has an ability to cause DNA damage, which may result in cancer. Alcohol consumption has been associated with cancers in the head and neck, esophagus, liver, and breast.

Health authorities further warn against processed foods like hotdogs, bacon, sausage, pepperoni, beef jerky, prosciutto, and salami. Consumption of 50 grams of processed meat daily has been found to increase the risk of colorectal cancer by 18 percent.

Other foods to avoid are charred meats or those cooked in high temperatures and red meat.

When it comes to strengthening the body’s ability to resist cancer, some natural ingredients like turmeric have been found helpful.

Scientists found turmeric contains a phytochemical called curcumin, which is loaded with a variety of healing agents.

Studies have shown that curcumin could potentially aid in shrinking tumors and even killing off cancer cells.

Researchers found it works not just by blocking cell signaling, but also inhibiting cell division in certain types of enzymes and growth factors. It is worth mentioning that these enzymes and growth factors are involved directly in the onset of cancer.

Curcumin has genoprotective, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anticarcinogenic, antiproliferative, antiviral, renoprotective, insulin-sensitizing, androgenic, antifibrotic, neurorestorative, and metal-chelating properties.

It also contains anticoagulant, antiseptic, antioxidant, anti-amyloidogenic, anti-cytotoxic, antibiotic, antimicrobial, anti-purulent, immunomodulating, and anticatabolic agents.

According to vitro studies, curcumin has shown promise in fighting several types of cancers. This includes multiple myeloma, colorectal, pancreatic, lung, and breast cancers.

While more studies are still underway to validate the life-saving, therapeutic potentials of curcumin, its use is widespread.

There are many who resort to the use of IncrediPure Curcumin, which is believed to be a formula superior over other brands. It is pure and free from nasty ingredients, and is even more popularized by the money back guarantee it comes with (http://www.amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-Supplement-BioPerine-Capsule/dp/B0166KAW8M).
