(Newswire.net — October 8, 2021) Orlando, FL — Statistics reveal that more and more people are struggling to get adequate sleep. It is important to be warned that sleep deprivation has long been found to trigger the onset of various diseases.

According to a small new study, poor sleep may increase the odds of diabetes. The investigating team looked into how fat cells respond to sleepless nights.

Matthew Brady says it’s always been thought that the primary function of sleep was for the brain, but in addition to the brain, your fat cells also need sleep.

Matthew Brady is a senior study author and an associate professor of medicine at the University of Chicago Medical Center.

“Too little sleep makes you groggy, and the same thing happens on a metabolic level. Cells don’t behave as they normally would, and this can lead to insulin resistance,” he adds.

Results of the study are published in the Oct. 16 issue of the Annals of Internal Medicine.

It is important to realize that lack of sleep can result in various health issues, such as insulin resistance, obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and high blood pressure.

“This is the first time that sleep has been studied at the cellular level,” Brady explained.

This study recruited seven healthy young adults with normal weight with an average age of under 24 years.

An increasing number of scientists continue to carry out studies to learn more about the ways to enhance sleep. It has been found that the human body can benefit from the use of nutrients like magnesium.

A study involving older adults and a dose of 500 mg of magnesium has revealed that the treatment led to better sleep quality. It is further worth noting that compared to the placebo, the magnesium group also showed higher levels of the two hormones that regulate sleep, namely renin, and melatonin.

There are also studies revealing that magnesium deficiency in mice led to light and restless sleep patterns.

According to experts, this macromineral has an influence on the nervous system. This is due to its ability to block more “excitable” molecules from binding to neurons, and this results in a calmer nervous system.

In addition to its sleep benefits, it is worth mentioning that magnesium could also work wonders in warding off a range of diseases.

Products like Purest Vantage Magnesium Oil Spray may be significantly helpful in delivering its therapeutic goodness. It is worth realizing that this spray continues to gain popularity in the global market (http://amazon.com/Pure-Magnesium-Oil-Spray-Transdermal/dp/B011T9TASI ).
