(Newswire.net — December 15, 2021) Orlando, FL — Over decades, heart disease has continued to be one of the deadliest and most prevalent conditions. It is worth noting that while this illness is prevalent, it is highly preventable.

Studies looking into the ways to combat this disease pile up nowadays. There are remedies found to be helpful in warding off this condition, and one is to simply do stretching.

This is according to a study published in the Journal of Physiology.

In this research, the investigators subjected the participants to easy-to-administer passive stretching that lasted for 12 weeks. It has been found that it worked in enhancing blood flow and this means it could be beneficial in battling conditions like diabetes and heart disease.

Through its ability to enhance blood flow, it makes dilation of the arteries easy and reduces their stiffness.

It is worth noting that passive stretching is different from active stretching. This is due to the fact that passive stretching is one that involves an external force (another person or gravity) stretching you.

Whereas active stretching is one you need to perform on your own.

This study was carried out by the researchers at the University of Milan. They assigned 39 healthy participants of both sexes to two groups.

The therapeutic changes that stretching produced particularly involving blood flow have been found to be beneficial in battling stroke, heart disease, and diabetes.

Today, scientists continue to carry out research studies to explore therapeutic remedies for heart health. There are kitchen ingredients like turmeric that consumers may add to their heart-healthy diet.

Turmeric is native to Southeast Asia and India and has long been used in Ayurvedic medicine. This bright yellow-orange spice contains a strong therapeutic compound called curcumin, which studies have found to produce a range of health benefits.

Among the therapeutic agents, curcumin contains are its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Its ability to combat inflammation is vital in cardiovascular health considering that inflammation is linked with heart disease.

The healing goodness of curcumin may be obtained by consuming turmeric tea. However, it is also worth noting that curcumin has low bioavailability, and this means it is poorly absorbed by the body. Its absorption may be increased with the help of black pepper.

There are formulas like Divine Bounty Curcumin that could be helpful in delivering the healing goodness of this remedy. This extra-strength formula also contains black pepper which increases the delivery of curcumin inside the body.
