(Newswire.net — February 28, 2022) Orlando, FL — Health authorities have long been releasing guidelines on how to reduce the risk of urinary tract infections (UTIs). This type of infection, when it’s uncomplicated, actually clears on its own. However, complicated UTIs need medical treatment.

It’s complicated with species of bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics or when there are changes in the urinary tract or organs.

While antibiotics are helpful, it is worth noting that this type of medication carries along with some side effects. These include the increased risk of vaginal Candida infection, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, a headache, or a rash.

This type of medication is also notoriously known and fear for the antibiotic resistance it produces.

Antibiotic resistance occurs from the misuse or overuse of this type of medication. There are sufferers of UTIs who do not complete the full course of treatment prescribed by their doctor after getting better a few days after taking the medication.

Such misuse is one of the causes of antimicrobial resistance, which continues to claim more and more lives today.  Reducing the need for antibiotics is essential and this can be done through resorting to some preventive remedies for the infection.

One extremely popular UTI-fighting ingredient is cranberry juice, which has long been used by individuals with recurrent UTIs. This remarkable beverage has been found to have components that work in preventing bacteria from adhering to the urinary tract, preventing the development of infection.

In 2016, a study involved women with recent histories of UTIs consuming cranberry juice on a daily basis for 24 weeks.  It’s been found those who consumed cranberry juice had fewer UTI episodes compared to the control group.

In another study, it was found that consumption of cranberry products may reduce the number of UTIs in a year, especially for females with recurrent UTIs.

There have been many studies showing that cranberry juice capsules cut the risk of this type of infection. A review looked into 24 studies involving a total number of 4,473 participants. It’s been found intake of cranberry reduced UTI frequency.

One of the reasons behind the UTI-fighting effects of this beverage is the therapeutic sugar it contains called D-mannose, which is obtained widely today through supplementation.

Divine Bounty D-mannose is one of the superior-strength supplements today that UTI sufferers turn to. It is not just popularized by its high potency and purity, but it’s also gaining increasing positive reviews from satisfied consumers.

What makes it all the more beneficial is that it has added ingredients like cranberry and dandelion extracts. (http://amazon.com/D-Mannose-600mg-Cranberry-Dandelion-Extract/dp/B01LX5KGF0)
