(Newswire.net — November 10, 2022) Orlando, FL — As the rates of diseases continue to increase, more and more experts are strongly recommending dietary and lifestyle modifications. There are even hormonal health issues like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) that are thought to be preventable.

Emerging evidence now highlights the link between obesity genes and PCOS. Scientists have particularly revealed that a certain gene implicated in the development of obesity is also correlated with the increased odds of having a hormonal health issue.

According to the researchers, the FTO gene has recently been found to influence one’s predisposition to obesity. It is also now the first gene to be linked convincingly with susceptibility to PCOS.

The study was carried out by Dr. Tom Barber and colleagues from the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism, University of Oxford, and Imperial College London.

It offered the first evidence highlighting a genetic link between obesity and PCOS.

The findings were presented at the annual Society for Endocrinology BES meeting in Harrogate.

Statistics show that this condition affects 1 in 10 women of childbearing age. It occurs in the ovaries and is characterized by excessive hair growth and irregular periods. It is also considered to be a common cause of infertility.

It is worth noting that PCOS is strongly correlated with obesity, and is believed that its prevalence with skyrocket with the rising levels of obesity.

Researchers reveal that the FTO gene can influence weight. It has two versions, and one is associated with increased weight gain and susceptibility to the development of obesity.

More studies are still underway to look into the various aspects of the condition. These include potentially effective treatments helpful to sufferers.

Years of research have highlighted that there are many remedies, including all-natural ingredients, that are helpful in battling PCOS.

These include the plant compound called Diindolylmethane (DIM), which has long been studied by the scientific community. It is worth mentioning that in multiple research studies, it has been found to combat a myriad of medical conditions.

It has both estrogenic and anti-androgenic activities that could be particularly clinically meaningful in women suffering from PCOS.

Extra-strength formulas like Purest Vantage DIM may be helpful in delivering the healing goodness of this remedy. It is equipped with 250mg Diindolylmethane Plus BioPerine and Dong Quai and continues to receive positive reviews from satisfied customers today.
