(Newswire.net — May 31, 2013) San Diego, CA. — The act of exercising reaps great rewards, and while most people are aware of this fact, it can be and usually is very difficult to get motivated, stay motivated, or both. Weight loss and fitness expert Natalie Jill is no exception to the rule, however, Natalie explains things that usually are great motivators in physical fitness in her article titled “6 Tips to Put YOU in the Mood to Work out.” Yes, everyone experiences those days that are sluggish, and it makes it difficult to imagine actually putting in the work, but there are ways that fitness motivation can be achieved.

“Skip it sometimes. Once and awhile it is of course OK to rest. In fact, rest and recovery days are encouraged,” says Natalie Jill, “but there are ways that everyone can stay active on a slow day.” Music is highly encouraged by Natalie Jill, and not just any music. High energy and upbeat music can make anyone feel energized and revitalized. Another way to get some time of physical activity, is to shorten the time of which one works out. This means, if the typical exercise is for 30 minutes to an hour, just do 15 or even a five minute burn. Another accountability strategy that works well, is to put on some gym clothes and tell friends of workout intentions. “Nothing is more motivating than a sound support system,” says Natalie Jill.

Making a healthy shake or smoothie can also provide motivation, because eating healthy creates healthy results by providing you with more energy. “Pre-workout, I love to have whey and a piece of fruit. Somehow getting serious with my pre-workout nutrition mentally prepares me for my work out! If you own a vitamix it makes it fun and easy to make amazing smoothies,” says Natalie Jill. Keeping a positive attitude about your exercise results is also a huge motivator. When one can physically see the changes that are happening with their own body, it is not too hard to decide to work out more, even when they’re tired.
