(Newswire.net —July 13, 2013)  Tampa, FL—So much of what shapes our interest and passions stems from our heritage and with Charles Visalli, his Italian upbringing spurred an interest in wines and food as a child.  So many social gatherings with family members, Visalli discusses always being around food and wine.  As he grew older and married, he found that no matter what vacations and trips that he and his wife would take, they would always center their voyages around the food and wine in wherever they were.

The trips began to become more and more targeted to visit wineries and enjoy the different regions of the world.  Visalli spent some time describing the evolution of wine making in the United States and how that was led by a fortuitous region in Napa Valley California where the sun, the soil, and the rainfall culminated to become a perfect storm for growing exquisite grapes.

Europe was always a wine making mecca, especially France, however the United States grew quickly with large tracts of fertile real estate and consistent weather patterns to support the soil.  Robert Mondavi was certainly regarded as one of the main early pioneers of California wine making.  Mondavi , having  elevated to the top ranks of wine making also teamed up with Chateau Mouton Rothchild to produce Opus One, one of the premier wine labels in the world.  This Bordeau/ American partnership established a respect for regionalization of wines in the world.

Washington State and Oregon were also hidden gems that were also discovered to have excellent soil with nutrients to feed that soil and ideal sun and rainfall.  This region has even been compared to the same qualities as Napa Valley, Bordeaux, Mendocino, and San Obispo where they produce excellent cabernets, merlots, and zinfandels.
