The first magazine on the Apple newsstand for Thermomix lovers called ‘Thermie Living’ has recently been launched and it is all about living a healthy and holistic lifestyle as well as enjoying great homemade food cooked in the Thermomix. This German kitchen appliance which has been around since the 60’s in Europe can do practically anything: chop, cook, grind, knead, steam, mix and more.
The magazine aimed at Thermomix owners and consultants, reveals delicious and healthy recipes that are easy to make in the Thermomix.
Jo Whitton, author of the Quirky Cooking blog and mother of four children with intolerances, says on her website that she was very excited about buying a Thermomix as she knew it would save her lots of time and money.
Andrea Alf, author of the ‘Thermie Living’ magazine says: ‘People don’t have much time to cook healthy food today. They get takeaway and go to restaurants while never being aware of the ingredients that are contained in their meals.’
Andrea thinks it’s important to cook delicious food with love and awareness. Her magazine shows Thermomix users that they can have fun and be creative with the Thermomix, but also save some time and money.

Even people with food intolerances don’t have trouble cooking today. Jo Whitton further writes on her website: “Healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring. Food intolerances and allergies don’t have to make life difficult. Wholesome food can taste great and is easy and fun to make.”

Many people are already becoming aware of the consequences bad food can have on them. There are more and more nutritionists around now and families taking action on their diet plans. Still we have too many overweight and obese people, especially in Australia and the US.
‘Thermie Living’ author Andrea recommends to Thermomix users as well as others who want to change their diet, to start making small changes such as drinking less soft drinks, reducing the amount of sugar in meals, looking at ingredients on packaging and shopping at farmer’s markets. Then they can start creating weekly meal plans with the family and try out two new recipes every week to bring more variety into their diet.

A highlight of the magazine ‘Thermie Living’ is the simple approach and action steps that can be implemented into reader’s lives right away, as well as the great variety of Thermomix recipes.

Currently the magazine is exclusively available on the Apple newsstand. It has an iPad version to enable easy reading of all the articles and recipes.
