(Newswire.net — June 25, 2014) Darien, CT — Well we have some great news for tennis elbow sufferers. It won’t be found in a pill. It will be found by going to Darien Chiropractor Brian McKay for help with tennis elbow pain.
Most people with tennis elbow will medicate with Aleve or Advil. A few before the game and a few after the game. But do they help? The problem still persists and it gets worse every time you play. Sure you can ice down afterwards and it will take out some of the swelling and pain, but only temporarily.
I have seen some fancy braces used but they support but do not cure tennis elbow. They offer short term relief. What I find totally offensive are cortisone shots that supress the immune system allowing swelling to go down but never getting to the cause of the pain andd swellig to begin with.
What else is left? Graston. A soft tissue technique modeled on Oriental medicine’s term called coining. A topical lubricant is applied to the pain site. Then a dense metal tool that is dull is rubbed in several directions to erase painful adhesions that restrict motion in the painful joint. This can be quite tender but it is super effective. The adhesions are rubbed out and the “scar tissue ” is replaced with good normal tissue. The cellular regrowth is aided by the introduction of Class IV Cold Laser therapy. Light therapy stimulates growth allowing new tissue to grow in. Pain is gone like that!
Most people would overlook a chiropractor when treating tennis elbow. That is changing if you have any questions feel free to reach me with info provided.
