(Newswire.net — October 8, 2014)  — Holiday deals traditionally get a boost from bigger, more popular brands and 2013 was no exception. Black Friday tablet deals from Apple, Samsung and Amazon were hot as retailers did what they could to offer them at the lowest prices ever. Black Friday laptop deals were also at very low prices for basic and touchscreen models from Dell, HP, Toshiba, Microsoft and Lenovo. “Dozens of fashion brands, like Levi’s, Aeropostale and Nike, stood out last Black Friday offering exceptional store-wide discounts of 40-60% off,” stated a FatWallet.com spokesperson. “Brand and category focused sales create bulk buying behavior and many of these Black Friday sales continued through Cyber Monday deals.”

Black Friday PREDICTIONS from FatWallet.com for the top brands project a heavy focus on store-wide sales and category discounts again this year. The biggest savings will come for those looking for apparel as brands and retailers will offer half off or better on over 8,000 Black Friday clothing and shoe deals this year (clothing deals account for roughly one quarter of all advertised holiday deals). Expect Best Buy Black Friday deals for Apple products to be strong, with $100 off iPads and up to $200 off Macbooks and Macbook Air deals. Walmart and Target gift cards will be offered up to $100 off iPhone 6 deals, iPad Air deals and iPad Mini deals to once again help lower Black Friday prices. Bigger computer brands like HP, Dell and Lenovo will be very competitive with basic laptop deals priced under $250 and up to $300 off newer hybrid laptop deals. LEGO, Skylanders and Disney’s Frozen toy deals will lead 25% or better discounting on popular toy gifts.
