(Newswire.net — September 4, 2015) Steyning, West Sussex — The study published on hngn.com says that an estimated 19 million Americans are having to cope with major depression. It has also claims to have identified behavior patterns which could predict whether a depressed person is likely to commit suicide. The data recorded during the research came from 2,811 patients, all suffering from depression, 22% of whom had already made an attempt at suicide.

Tests were carried out by researchers, who had each patient undergo a session with a psychiatrist. The patients were asked about previous suicide attempts, and family history, with the assessment also factoring medical information and other information into the treatment. Researchers then compared the data of those who had or hadn’t attempted suicide, with their analysis finding a clear pattern of risky behavior leading up to an attempted suicide scenario.

Dr. Dina Popovic, research study lead author from Barcelona, in Spain, said in a recent press release published by the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP): “We discovered that a ‘depressive mixed state’ often preceded a suicide attempt. Depressive mixed states are where a patient becomes depressed, but likewise with signs of excitation, and mania. We also discovered this to be significantly more so in patients who had actually attempted suicide before, compared to those who had not.”

The researchers likewise found that those who had made an attemp to commit suicide did in fact display types of risky behavior such as driving recklessly, psycho-motor agitation, and impulsiveness. He also said that the findings of the research can be made use of in improving care given to people dealing with depression. According to the CDC, suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the United States, with 105 Americans taking their own lives daily.

In an interview published on Youtube, Juan Salazar asked personal development guru Andy Shaw how to overcome depression, anxiety, stress and remove negative thinking. Juan has made a comment under the video that says Andy’s answers were out of this world, and adds: “My girlfriend has been dealing with depression for more than 20 years. She’s done all sorts of therapy, alternative medicine, meditation, etc. After reading A Bug Free Mind, her change and improvement is just astonishing. She’s got a much happier and relaxed life, and for me that’s priceless. Depression, anxiety, stress and negative thinking are big problems, but you can get rid of them, and you can have a happier, more successful, and enjoyable life!”

Regarding depression, Andy Shaw has said: “If you have suffered or suffer from depression then you may wish to consider that it was and is all under your control simply by being able to direct your mind power to controlling by dismantling it when it shows up.” The first 5 chapters of “A Bug Free Mind,” are available to download for free for all depression sufferers on the official website, at abugfreemind.com.
