(Newswire.net — December 29, 2017) Orlando, FL — Fish oil supplements are widely believed to be highly therapeutic. Many people utilize them in hopes to reverse or fight a range of conditions. Fish oil is often used with the intention to be a preventive measure against certain ailments.

Experts investigate the potential protective effects of fish oil against type 2 diabetes. Fish oil contains healthy fats known as omega-3 fatty acids. They are believed to offer a range of health benefits.

Omega-3s are thought to be the major source of fish oil’s potential benefits. These healthy fats can be obtained by consuming fish such as halibut, tuna, sardines, herring, and cod. However, consumers may also take fish oil supplements.

“As more and more people are resorting to natural alternatives, fish oil is becoming increasingly popular,” said VitaBreeze Supplements spokesperson, Michelle O’Sullivan.

According to the researchers from the Harvard University, omega-3 fatty acids have the potential ability to increase levels of adiponectin, which is a hormone associated with insulin sensitivity. Experts believe that increased levels of adiponectin in the blood stream may help to reduce one’s risk of heart disease.

Jason Wu, study lead author from Harvard School of Public Health, revealed that fish oil was able to increase the circulation of adiponectin in lab animals. In another study, it was found that fish oil has also modestly increased levels of adiponectin in human blood.

“Today, fish oil supplements are used on a daily basis by many people,” added O’Sullivan.

Researchers in a recent study assessed 682 participants who received fish oil doses. They also had another group of 641 participants who took sunflower or olive oil. It was found that the fish oil group had an increase of 0.37 micrograms per milliliter of blood.

Many healthcare providers recommend the increased consumption of fish with omega-3s. These healthy fats are particularly popularized by their potential ability to protect heart health. However, their use has also been associated with a wide array of health benefits.

While fish consumption may often be recommended, it is important to note that certain types of fish contain environmental pollutants. Those who consume fish on a daily basis to obtain the possible benefits of omega-3s should be wary about these toxins.

One of the best ways to consume high amounts of omega-3s without being exposed to side effects is to take fish oil supplements. There are highly reputable herbal supplement manufacturers who use a molecular distillation process to reduce or eliminate toxins.
