(Newswire.net — July 18, 2019) — Selective androgen receptor modulators or SARMs, are becoming increasingly popular among bodybuilders, according to a new study. The study, published by Seekers Time, found that the sale of SARMs worldwide increased by 25% in the past two years.
“Selective androgen receptor modulators or SARMs are a novel class of androgen receptor ligands. They are intended to have the same kind of effects as androgenic drugs but be much more selective in their action,” states Wisepowder.
SARMs has been shown to be effective for both cutting and bulking phases for bodybuilding.
The community chooses to use SARMs over steroids due to the thought that SARMs have fewer long-term side effects than steroids. The benefits of these supplements are that they are not toxic and do not have the same impact that steroids do on the liver.
Endurance during training is increased, and a large portion of people that use SARMs have had a positive reduction in overall body fat percentages. Women are also purchasing the supplement to help trim down and build muscle.
The dosages and cycles are different from steroids, and fat cells are used to produce energy for longer-lasting workouts. Stamina and intensity increase when a person takes SARMs which do not have the same hormonal impact of steroids.
Reports from Australia found that SARMs have been sold on store shelves despite them being banned. Users claim that they would not go back to before taking SARMs due to the results that they produce. Health risks of taking the supplement are starting to come out, with some studies suggesting that the supplement may be linked to the development of cancer in mice.
Personal trainers say that the supplement is the new steroid, but they’re less intense. One personal trainer claims that while the supplement is safer, it still impacts the body like steroids, albeit at a slower rate than steroids will damage the body.
Younger generations are being heavily influenced by bodybuilders who have taken steroids and SARMs, according to one trainer. These young bodybuilders want immediate results and will use the person in the gym with muscles as the only “study” that they need on the effectiveness of the supplement. The health risks are often ignored due to the results that they offer.
Doctors claim that even at small dosages, SARMs may have serious health risks that do not outweigh the benefits that the supplement offers. The long-term side effects of SARMs is still being studied and are unclear.
