(Newswire.net — September 23, 2020) — It’s Friday and you have no plans at all. What are you going to do? Why not just spend a Friday night at home?

Sometimes it can be difficult to find and decide on something to do, so we’re here to help. Here are five epic ways to spend a Friday night at home.

1. Movie Night

There’s a reason movie nights have never gone out of style. Sitting down by yourself or with loved ones and watching a good movie will never go outdated. So why not spend a Friday night like that?

If you want to hang out with some friends or family, but are worried about COVID, you’re not alone. If you want to host a movie night, please ensure that it is with very few people and people that you spend a lot of your time with. A better alternative, however, would be to host a virtual movie night.

You can do this by assembling a group and going to a screen sharing website like Kosmi or by using software like Zoom or Google Meets. This allows for a no-contact movie night in which you can still see your friends and can still talk to them while the movie is playing, whether it be through chat or mics.

2. Game Night

Just like the movie night, game nights are an all-time classic. You can’t really play board games or party games by yourself, which means you’ll need to host a game night. Just like the movie night, try to steer clear from in-person game nights, and if you do them make sure it’s with people you trust and spend a lot of time with.

But the alternative may be better. Hosting a virtual game night isn’t as difficult as it sounds. There are loads of fun online games you can play with your friends, there are apps you all can download on your phone like Houseparty or Evil Apples, and if you’re up for it, you can look through some of the best bingo sites and knock out a few bingo cards.

3. Cook Something Stellar

Cooking is another great way to spend your Friday night at home. It’s definitely not one of the Friday night activities you think of, but cooking yourself or a few other people a nice meal can be very fun.

You get to go shopping that day for the ingredients, you can try to be fancy which will be sure to get a laugh from your friends. But the best part is being able to learn how to cook this new dish, and if you’ve made it before, then you just get to have fun getting better at it.

4. Dungeons and Dragons

Chances are, you’ve heard of Dungeons and Dragons. Whether it be from your father’s childhood stories or from the first season of Stranger Things, Dungeons and Dragons is a legend amongst role-playing games and it still thrives today. So get some friends together and try to start a campaign!

It may be difficult at first because there is a lot that goes into it. You have to create your character, which is a lot more complicated than it sounds, and then you have to play the campaign. It may be in your best interest to find someone with some Dungeons and Dragons experience, but part of the fun is the journey!

5. Buy a New Game

Whether you have an Xbox or a Playstation, get that game you’ve been wanting for some time now. Get it and play it all tonight! Here’s a list of great games for Xbox and some awesome games for the Playstation.

Enjoy Your Friday Night at Home

When you decide to spend your Friday night at home, it shouldn’t be boring, so we hope these ideas can help liven up your night. Just be safe and have fun!
