50 % Of All Permanent Eye Damage Does Happen Before The Age Of 18

(Newswire.net — August 12, 2015) Las Vegas, LAS VEGAS — Capital News recently reported that safeguarding children’s eyes from overexposure to dangerous UV rays is just as important as protecting their skin: “While significant interest is paid to the need to put on protective sun block to fend off potential skin cancer”, Barry Gerding states, “optometrists are concerned the same focus is not placed on securing eyes.” Credible optometrist, Dr. Stephanie Strawn, has even gone so far as to say that any direct exposure to the sun can trigger permanent changes to the eye, from macular degeneration to cornea burn, to eyelid cancer, stressing that 50 % of permanent eye damage happens mostly prior to the age of 18.

With their eyes unable to filter out UV rays as well as adults, children need as much help as they can get: whilst sunglasses are a must when kids are playing outside, it might not occur to parents that hazardous UV rays are just as hazardous in the backseat of an automobile.

Freddie and Sebbie, a Nevada-based children’s accessory brand, is dedicated to taking care of the serious side of parenting, and offer a variety of over 20 products devoted to doing just that. In a recent interview discussing the concerns of eye-safety, primary representative Neil Speight stated, “All of us want the very best for our children, but sometimes it’s difficult to find the right answer. Take sunglasses for instance, they’re perfect for UV protection outside, but not really for a long car journey. Let’s face it, no matter just how much you tell them, no child, tired at the tail-end of a long car journey, will happily sit there with blacked-out sunglasses on. How are they expected to see their toys in the back of the car? What we wanted to do was to create an item that would protect a child’s eyes, without them even realizing it, and without parents having to think about it.”

Speight continued by discussing that the Freddie and Sebbie Automobile Safety Shade was created specifically to do just this. With dimensions of 6.9 by 6.9 inches, it’s designed to stick over the whole car window, not only protecting a child’s eyes, but their skin too. “All of our items are made to make parenting that little bit easier”, Speight concluded, “and with this vehicle security shade in the window, it’s one less load off your mind. Sun block? Check. Bathing suit? Check. Eye protection for the next 18 years? You don’t even need to think about it – Freddie and Sebbie have got that sorted.”

Neil concluded the press conference by thanking parents for such a terrific response in their Amazon item reviews, which he says are so important for validating all of the advantages explained on Amazon, so other parents can see the need for such a device in a car with kids.
