Alternative to 7,000 Chemicals in Tobacco

However, when traditional cigarettes are burned, these 600 ingredients create over 7,000 chemicals with many of them being highly toxic and poisonous. There are no warning labels on cigarettes about these toxic chemicals and poisons in tobacco smoke that are dangerous to the smoker, and the other people that are subjected to the second hand smoke.

• Toluene – used in the manufacturing of paint

• Cadmium – an active component in battery acid

• Methanol – a main component in rocket fuel

• Naphthalene – a common ingredient used to make mothballs

• Hexamine – chemical that is found in BBQ lighter fluid
