(Newswire.net — September 10, 2014) —
AMG Services is organizing satellite poker tournaments where winners can earn a seat in the $1 million buy-in event to be held in Las Vegas later this year. The entry for these events will start at as little as $65 and step up to a final direct satellite with a buy-in of $3000.
“A satellite event is a way to enter the main $1 million event without actually spending that huge an amount. This is the best way for semi-professional and amateur poker players to make their way to the big stage. Not many can risk spending a million dollars otherwise,” said William Chang, the director of the satellite events for AMG Services.
Players from all around the world can participate in the satellites as they will take place online. The main event is No Limit Texas Hold’em, but the contestants can choose to participate in their favorite variation of poker for the satellites.
“We are organizing tournaments of Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Split, Heads Up No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Hold’em, Omaha Hi-Low Split, H.O.R.S.E., and Pot-Limit Omaha alongside full-ring No-Limit Hold’em,” said Chang.” You can try out the game that you are most accomplished in, and many a times start in one but move to another as you qualify for the next step.”
AMG Services announced that all the profits from all satellite events will go to The Breast Cancer Society. The final event will be broadcast live.
“Events like this attract a lot of participants. We, at AMG Services, felt that buying six seats to the main event and organizing a satellite event would be a great way to put money together for a good cause,” added Chang. “Poker players are sometimes frowned upon by society, but in this way they would be returning some of the earning back to our communities in need.”
The satellite events will kick off sometime in mid September, and will be held online.
