The National School Chaplain Association has a new chaplain training program that is available to anyone who has obtained a high school education and is interested in providing spiritual care in schools.
Their new one-year program has been designed specifically for those individuals who are not already in the education profession or the church ministry, but who believe a school chaplain position is their calling. The National School Chaplain Association is the leading nationwide body for chaplain training and accreditation and they can offer participants in their training programs both the most esteemed chaplaincy curriculum and the most employment opportunities once their training is completed.

The National School Chaplain Association has developed their new training course to empower individuals to become advocates for spiritual care in public schools across the United States. They believe that chaplains are a source of sage, spiritual advice, measured counsel, and hope and optimism in schools.
The training and certification organization describes school chaplains as playing “an indispensable role” in schools today, and there is an increasing demand for their services in elementary, middle, and high schools across the country. This means that there is also a growing demand for newly trained chaplains.
The National School Chaplain Association is the biggest governing body for school chaplains in the US.
A spokesperson for the organization said, “Chaplains are indispensable because they accompany students through their increasingly complex and ever-changing educational journey. Chaplains educate the whole person and ensure graduates will not only do good but also be well. What seems to be increasingly clear is that chaplains are essential for the heart and soul of education.”
