(Newswire.net — April 28, 2014) Bournemouth, DORSET —There will be many broken hearts as George is engaged to Amal Alamuddin who is a top British humanitarian lawyer who also specialises in humman rights, extradition and international law from her base in London’s Doughty Street Chambers.
An unamed source told the People magazine that, “He’s with someone who is a very accomplished attorney. She isn’t someone who is pursuing a career in acting or entertainment. She’s on his level.” Previously George has dated many actresses and models and was previously married to the actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993.
Dating and first photographed in October last year, George, 52, and Amal, 36, have been seen on holidays in New York, Tanzanina and the Seychelles Islands.
It was reported by Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, that they were having dinner with Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber at the nobu restaurant in Malibu, Califonia where Amal was wearing a big diamond ring on here left ring finger.
On Wednesday at Craig’s an LA resaturant, this ring was also noticed by diners where the two of them were supposedly celebrating their engagement.
People magazine reported that the unamed source said, “George and Amal are trying to keep things very low-key but they also aren’t really trying to hide this, it doesn’t seem. I think it’s like they want the people they love to know that this is real, that they plan on being together forever.”
George had entered bets with his closest friends that he would never marry again. If he does according to the British newspaper the Sun, Michelle Pfeiffer his co-star from One Fine Day will collect about £50,000.
Nicole Kidman also had a bet with George who sent her cheque back and said, “Double or nothing until I’m 50. And on it keeps going,” he laughed. Sandra Bullock his Gravity, co-star also bet that he would marry and expected him to find a very patient and lovely wife.
