(Newswire.net — February 25, 2019) — Orlando, FL — Scientists have been carrying out studies to explore what foods can be helpful for overall health, particularly for the digestive system.

According to experts, there are certain types of food that are good or disadvantageous to the stomach. There are also those that could ease digestive health issues and malfunction.

Jessica Anderson, RD, says the body can only handle so much at one time.

Anderson is a diabetes educator with the Texas A&M Health Science Center Coastal Bend Health Education Center, in Corpus Christi.

It is important to remember that both fried and high-fat foods can overwhelm the stomach. When this happens, it could result in acid reflux and heartburn. It is further worth mentioning that foods high in fat could lead to steatorrhea, which is essentially excess fat in the feces.

Chili peppers can also be damaging as it could lead to heartburn pain.

According to Tim McCashland, MD, this can be a particular problem for people with irritable bowel syndrome or those who already suffer from chronic heartburn.

McCashland is a gastroenterologist at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, in Omaha.

Other foods to avoid are dairy, such as cheese and milk. Individuals who are lactose intolerance are susceptible to diarrhea, gas, and abdominal bloating and cramps when eating dairy.

Certain enzymes like papain have been found to be beneficial for digestion. Papain has long been used as a traditional remedy in cases of pain, inflammation, and wounds.

According to scientists, it acts as a natural digestive enzyme and break down foods like protein.

Scientists from the University of Michigan conducted a study.

In this research, it has been found that this papaya enzyme was able to improve the digestion process. It actively produced a boost in the digestion process not just of the intestines, but also in the pancreas.

Research even reveals that it could ease bloating, constipation, and some other common digestive complaints.

A study was published in 2013, and it found papain was able to aid in significantly relieving boating and constipation. It involved patients with gastrointestinal dysfunction.

While papain can be obtained from papaya, there are supplements available like Divine Bounty Digestive Enzymes.

This formula doesn’t just contain papain, but also other digestive enzymes. It is even equipped with prebiotics, probiotics, and some other nutrients significantly helpful for digestive health and function.

Divine Bounty Digestive Enzymes is also popularized by its high potency and purity. This powerful formula doesn’t just contain papain, but also other digestive enzymes, prebiotics, probiotics, and nutrients (https://amazon.com/Digestive-Enzymes-Probiotics-90-Capsules/dp/B076MDX648).
