(Newswire.net — May 20, 2014) Franklin, Tennessee — Last weekend, May 9th-11th, boys and girls ages 8 through 18, competed in The Tennessee Invitational in Franklin, TN. The Tennessee Soccer Club holds the Tennessee Invitational annually.
Over 250 eligible teams from Premier to Select levels, mainly state champions and state finalists came from the Southeast and Midwestern regions to compete.
Franklin Stone lent their assistance to Tennessee Soccer Club. Jimmy Drain, Tennessee Soccer Club’s Tournament Director, commented on the generosity of the local business.
“Franklin Stone moved the goals, and we could not have done the event without them,” said Drain. “Franklin Stone lent us their truck. Saturday afternoon, John (Franklin Stone’s owner), dropped everything and moved 8 soccer goals from the Williamson County Rec Center to the Downs Soccer Complex. Franklin Stone went beyond expectations.”
Currently, the Tennessee Soccer Club consists of around 120 boys and girls from age 8 to 18. In June 2012, Tennessee Futbol Club and Brentwood Soccer Club merged to create The Tennessee Soccer Club. Tennessee Soccer Club provides youth players advanced soccer training and the chance to compete with other enthusiastic players. Players improve their individual and team soccer playing skills. Many team members compete state, regionally and some even rise to Olympic levels.
Franklin Stone looks forward to assisting the Tennessee Soccer Club next year and every year after.
