(Newswire.net — December 7, 2013) Pretoria, Gauteng —

In a recent online survey FullStop Kitchens have come out number one for the best kitchen cupboard installers in Pretoria. We spoke to the owner Trevor to find out more about their service and how they were able to achieve this.

According to Trevor their success is due to their three main services which come standard for any wooden furniture or kitchen cupboards that they create. Trevor said “When I started this business I made the decision that we will be different in a tangible way, and it took me a long time to add the real quality factor to our work”.

To create real value for the clients he added three primary quality checks that would insure that the clients will be satisfied and absolutely happy with their purchase.

Trevor said “I have been in the industry for a while and knew which shortcuts are being used regularly ‘to save money and time’. However these shortcuts tend to create problems later on and are not really seen, or experienced by the owner right off the bat.

The first is the use of clip on screws. When you only use these to connect the boards it will hold, but not for long. Problems that happen is that these screws become loose and are not stable once the cupboards are used frequently. Over time many problems occur like cabinet doors not aligning properly and edges pulling away from each other.

At Fullstop Kitchens they follow a three step system. The first is a “biscuit joint”. A biscuit joint is a crescent-shaped hole is cut in the opposite edges/composite sides of two pieces of wood, then an oval-shaped, highly-dried and compressed wooden biscuit is covered with glue, and inserted into the slot and the two boards are clamped together.

In addition to the biscuit joints and glue it is further strengthened with wood screws. Doing this ensures that our cupboard joints do not pull apart, “it might be a bit of an overkill, but we make sure”.

What is the worth of the back of the cupboard?

According to FullStop Kitchens not very much, mostly the cabinets are installed flat against the wall and some others would at least put in a 3mm standard hard-board. Trever mentioned that he could really not understand why, “you are going to open the cupboard and see the blank wall or the horrible looking hard-board”. They decided to change this around by using a proper 16mm melamine back to each cabinet. This also adds additional stability to the complete cupboard installation.

The last is our quality guarantee, I do not know of any other kitchen cupboard installer that offers anything similar. After 30 days they visit the site and again after 60 days. If they find any problems these can then be fixed immediately. “For us this is not an option, it is part of our service offer”.

It is no wonder FullStop Kitchens are leaps ahead of their competitors when it comes to quality standards.
