(Newswire.net — February 19, 2019) Orlando, FL — Health authorities warn that worldwide, over 300 million people of any age suffer from this brain disorder called depression.

According to health authorities, this type of brain disorder is the leading cause of disability worldwide. Unfortunately, it is also a major contributor to the overall global burden of disease.

Experts warn that depression, when not diagnosed and treated, can result in suicide. Individuals with this condition often suffer greatly and poorly function at work, school, or even inside a home.

Statistics show that nearly 800,000 individuals die because of suicide every year. It t is worth mentioning that suicide is the second top cause of death among individuals between ages 15 to 29 years old.

There may be different symptoms according to the severity of the disorder, such as if it is mild, moderate, or severe.

WHO’s Mental Health Gap Action Programme (mhGAP)’s considers depression as one of its priority conditions.

In the United States, one in six individuals experience a depressive episode during their lifetime. However, only 50 percent of the sufferers are able to meet the criteria for diagnosis and seek treatment for depression.

Globally, the lowest depression rates are found in Asia and Southeast Asian countries. The higher rates of depression are countries plagued by protracted civil war like Bosnia and Northern Ireland.

The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) reveals that about 11 percent of adolescents in the United States suffer from a depressive episode before the age of 18.

Antidepressants are often used by those with this brain disorder. However it is worth mentioning some antidepressants are associated with side effects, such as violence and suicidal thoughts.

There are natural remedies studied and found to be beneficial against depression. One is riboflavin, which is a B vitamin that is thought to be highly therapeutic.

In studies, it has been found that many depressed individuals had a concurrent Riboflavin deficiency.

In elderly subjects with depression, the use of B vitamins like B1, B2, and B6 produced some improvements to the condition.

According to a Japanese cross-sectional study, increased consumption of riboflavin led to reduced symptoms of depression in girls. After childbirth, consumption of this B vitamin has even been found to prevent depression.

B vitamins have essential roles to play inside the body. They can be safely and efficiently obtained through the use of Purest Vantage B Vitamin Complex.
