(Newswire.net — June 9, 2013) Denver, CO — “Successful brand marketing will be required for survival in the quickly evolving social marketplace,” Sherrie Chastain states to local business owners at a roundtable marketing session.  “Creating a brand that reflects you, or your offer is the key for success.  There are different levels that your brand can obtain to be an automatic traffic generation machine, however, creating your brand is the first step.  Your brand will impact the future of your offer, and is worth the time and effort expended to get this part right.  Once your brand has been created, it can be integrated into all of your marketing.”

Clearly identify your mission, because if you try to make a false impression the real you will eventually come through.  When you portray yourself just as you are, people that are like you will be attracted to you and your offer.  This technique is called magnetic marketing, and provides you with a customer base of people you will enjoy working with.  This step should be easy if you are passionate about what you are offering, if it is not, that means you need to take a step back to take a close look at your passion and analyze your offer.

The next thing that you need to decide about creating your brand, are the colors you should use that will truly represent and portray your mission. These colors need to be congruent with your offer, for instance a man creating a brand for a specialty gun accessory probably should not use pink shades.  Not only should the colors of your brand reflect your mission and offer, they should take the client base into consideration. If your marketplace is mainly retired people, then a mix of bright, neon colors with an edgy font would not be as good as a clear, bold black simple font making the text easier to read.

It is time to analyze the name, and make sure it provides the prospect with a clear understanding of your offer. Other important factors to remember in choosing a name, are making sure it is short and easy to spell, and make sure it cannot be misspelled easily.  If the domain name is not available there are a lot of different options, so be sure and not make that a criteria in your name choice.

“Now take this information and have a graphic designer create some logos for you to choose from,” the Brand Marketing Consultant Sherrie Chastain recommends.  “I have gathered a team of graphic designers who create a low cost logo portfolio. This allows the client to have a variety of logos that were created by different people, providing the client with logos that are all unique because they were created by different people.”  For help creating your brand email Sherrie Chastain at tested4you@gmail.com, or if you need a logo portfolio.  You can also connect with Sherrie Chastain on LinkedIn.
