Idaho Springs is frequented by people traveling to all the popular Colorado ski resorts, since it is on highway 70 which is the main highway running west through the mountains.

The family owned thrift store will be open 9am daily, and closed on Tuesday and Thursday. The new Idaho Springs, Colorado Thrift Store will offer gently used decor that is very unique, because they buy, sell, and trade, so you never know what you will find stashed away in the corner.
Doug Otten explains,”Our goal is to carry affordable used items, and much more. We are constantly changing inventory, so it is best to stop back in often. The last Friday of the month is ‘Senior Day’ with all seniors receiving a 10% discount, so spread the word.”
”We offer a little bit of everything for home decor needs, and we also offer a little bit of nostalgia too,” Shannon McGuire says. She continues explaining that the, “Local residents, people from surrounding towns, clients from Denver, and visiting tourists are all among our clients, so we try to keep a very diversified stock that is ever changing.”
Shannon McGuire and Doug Otten are natives of Colorado, and bring a combined total of 60 years of retail experience to the area. Doug’s family has been in the mining industry in the mountains of Colorado for many, many years. This experience, and the many relationships that they have with the local people, along with people in the mining industry provides Doug and Shannon with the ability to obtain very unique, one of a kind pieces for the store.
