Margie Meacham is an author and learning consultant, who first became interested in helping people when she was a little girl. She overcame dyslexia to become her high school class valedictorian, and achieved Bachelor and Masters degrees in Education at the top of her class.

Now she teaches people how to design and deliver the best training using compelling, memorable and useful techniques and strategies by translating the latest discoveries in learning science..

Each of her new books uses cognitive science in different ways, with a focus on helping people to learn and grow.

Her first book is called “Brain Matters: How to help anyone learn anything using neuroscience.” It is a short series of essays that takes the reader inside the human brain and links scientific discoveries to practical applications.

It is designed for anyone who wants to help people learn. According to one reviewer, “Implementing the ideas in this book can take training, coaching and educational programs to new heights.”

Another reviewer comments that “Brain Matters gives educators, teachers, corporate trainers and mentors new tools to help people learn.”

Her second book, The Brain Matters Coloring Book, was created to help readers assimilate information in new and effective ways by harnessing the brain’s preference for visual information. “The brain is much better at assimilating information in visual form than any other,” says Meacham. “That’s why coloring books are a reliable way of learning processes or complex connections between diverse concepts or events. The learner becomes highly active, making decisions about the color, connections, and links to other ideas at every step. But it doesn’t feel like a class or school work. It’s just a fun exploration of the amazing human brain.”

Through this book, customers will be able to foster and develop a love of coloring again, all while learning more about how their brain works.

Margie Meacham is based in Phoenix, Arizona, and is active on Twitter and Facebook. She enjoys helping people to learn and grow through the power of cognitive science. Contact her for further comment, interviews and podcasts at margie@learningtogo.info
