Delphi-approved diesel injector test and repair center Extract Engineering (01228 558866) expands its commercial services, now available to fleet operators and transport firms in Irvine and surrounding parts of southern Scotland.
The recent update comes as the centre’s capacity to offer specialised diesel injector testing increases, with in-house equipment now including some of the latest Hartridge test benches. In addition to testing, the facility can carry out cleaning, refurbishment, and recoding of diesel injectors, giving Irvine-based transport and haulage firms access to a comprehensive nearby solution.

Extract Engineering explains that, in the past, Irvine fleet operators would have to send diesel injectors to Preston, Manchester, or the Midlands, in order to have them professionally serviced. With the latest expansion, the centre offers Delphi-authorised expertise using some of the most advanced technologies.
Delphi injectors are fitted across a wide variety of modern trucks and buses, including models from Volvo, Renault, DAF, Pacar, and Mercedes. Owing to the extreme operating environment and constant usage, such injectors can develop wear and tear that requires specialised testing equipment to diagnose.
Extract Engineering has recently upgraded its testing capabilities, allowing it to offer Delphi-approved services to fleet operators across the entire North West and Borders region. In the event that faults are identified, the firm’s technicians are trained and equipped to carry out any necessary cleaning, repair, and/or recoding.
“We test commercial injectors on the newest electronic diesel injector test bench: the Hartridge AVM-2 PC,” a company representative explained. “This machine also has the HK1500 cam box attached. That combination of high technology equipment enables us to test and repair your injectors and pumps to OEM (manufacturer) standards, complete with new coding.”

About Extract Engineering
Lead engineer Steve Jefferson began his career as a mobile mechanic, assisting remotely-located garages with injector-related problems. As demand for Steve’s knowledge and experience grew, Extract Engineering became an early adopter of commercial injector testing benches, and the firm moved into its current facility located near the M6 motorway in Carlisle.
“Extract Engineering stepped into the breach when all others failed,” one client recently stated. “My tractor digger had been idle for almost 3 years due to an injector problem, and most other places just wanted to sell me new ones at a huge price. Extract overhauled and reconditioned the originals, and they’re still working flawlessly.”
