Leading diamond auction house Bid Global International Auctioneers has announced a new series of live and online events, now open to buyers in Kensington and surrounding parts of London.
The firm’s new catalogue features a wide selection of recently cut diamonds, which have been graded and laser inscribed by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Currently available stones come in pear cut, emerald cut, oval cut, and most other popular styles. Along with clear diamonds, buyers have access to sought-after coloured stones, such as blue, green, yellow, black, purple, and more.

Bid Global’s upcoming auctions are open to both private and commercial buyers, and the firm expects them to be well attended by jewellers and those considering bespoke jewellery pieces. In addition to wedding and engagement rings, diamonds now available are suitable for a range of applications, including bracelets, necklaces, pendants, and earrings.
In order to provide a baseline for assessing the quality of diamonds, the Gemological Institute of America created the 4Cs system in the 1940s. This method considers a stone’s colour, clarity, cut, and carat weight. While colourless diamonds receive a higher grading, the comparative rarity of coloured stones often leads to higher sale prices.
The diamonds now offered by Bid Global have been sourced through exclusive agreements with some of the world’s leading diamond cutters. The firm states that this presents an opportunity to purchase diamonds at highly competitive rates, as it is one of the earliest stages in the supply chain.
Along with the GIA, Bid Global has had all diamonds graded by the Accredited Gemological Institute of New York (AGI). The dual grading is designed to give buyers an additional level of assurance, and diamonds are available to suit a range of budgets.
