Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – 360 Wellness Hub (+603-2779-2700) now offers child psychology services to address common pediatric mental health disorders, such as ADHD and anxiety.

To explain the new service, the center also released a report that discussed the importance of early detection in treating or managing common pediatric psychological disorders such as ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Parents are encouraged to speak to a child psychologist as soon as possible if they notice their child being unusually withdrawn and quiet or constantly lashing out at simple things.

360 Wellness Hub launched its new service to help parents resolve and detect various mental health conditions in children. For example, kids suffering from an anxiety disorder may be persistently worried or fearful and uninterested in any type of play. Anxiety in children may also present itself as chronic irritation, anger, and difficulty sleeping.

Recent data released by the National Health Morbidity Survey (NHMS) found that one in 20 children in Malaysia aged five to nine show signs of a mental disorder. Unfortunately, parents dismiss early warning signs as “children being children” and do not immediately consult with a child psychologist, which may make their child’s condition worse.

According to 360 Wellness Hub, untreated pediatric mental conditions may lead to more severe adolescent ones. This may explain why many Malaysian researchers are now saying that local teenagers are displaying unusually high levels of stress or anxiety in the last few years. Their feelings of anxiety tend to accumulate and snowball and could affect them in adult life unless immediately treated.

360 Wellness Hub offers 4 different types of psychological services. For children, the center now offers psychological assessment and various types of counseling and psychotherapy. Hypnotherapy may also be recommended, depending on the child’s specific case.

The center is led by Dr. Lennie Soo who believes that “pain is mandatory, suffering is optional”. She is committed to helping all Malaysians improve quality of life through mental health therapy.

As seen in the report, “Psychological issues in children often have good results if treatment starts early. Early detection, diagnosis, and intervention are key to improving a child’s psychological well-being. But even with the advancement of technology, children with issues are still not getting the help and support they need on time.”
