(Newswire.net — August 16, 2013) Langley, BC — The Think Referrals Business Network (TRBN) claims that there’s more to networking than exchanging cards and forcing referrals. TRBN Founder, Rainer Schmoll, stands by the adage that people work with others they know, like and trust and that it takes time to develop those types of relationships.
When people attend a Langley business network they tend to get to know and therefore refer local associates from Langley (or whichever city their chapter is in.)
“We don’t believe forcing members to refer each other is a natural way to do business,” says Mr. Schmoll, “when someone tells you to use their realtor, handyman or mortgage broker, you hope it’s because they have a trust relationship with that service provider – not because they HAVE to refer that person.”
TRBN goes beyond a business card exchange and elevator pitch to provide valuable business education, training and brainstorming sessions to its members.
Miranda Kortus is the owner of My Little Green Room Day Spa in Langley, is a TRBN member of the Walnut Grove chapter. She explains, “I was looking for a Langley business network and have been grateful for TRBN. Not only have I increased my confidence to speak in front of people about my business and increased the number of clients I serve, I continue to learn practical business skills like how to manage business finances, market my business online, and deal with difficult work scenarios.”
Beyond personal and business growth, TRBN supports local communities through various fundraisers and charity drives. The non-profit arm, ThinkGenerously, gives back to the same community where the funds are donated, so donations from the Langley business network chapters go back to serve local Langley families over the holidays. TRBN chapters in other cities throughout the Fraser Valley do the same.
“Referrals” may be in the organization name, but TRBN is really a network of business people supporting and serving each other as well as their communities.
Think Referrals Business Network currently has chapters throughout Langley, Surrey and White Rock and is expanding throughout the Fraser Valley. For more information contact rainer@trbn.com or visit www.trbn.com.
