(Newswire.net — October 17, 2019) Winnetka, IL — There is undeniably an increasing number of people who suffer from stress today, especially in the United States.

The American Psychological Association (APA) carried out its annual Stress in America survey.

This survey assesses stress levels, what keeps the subjects up at night, and how they deal with stress.

The survey was conducted by Harris Poll on behalf of APA.

In the survey, it has been revealed that unemployment and low wages cause stress in 22 percent of adults. Further, 28 percent of adults reported high taxes as a cause of stress.

In 2017, it has been found women experienced a slight increase in the levels of stress.

It is worth mentioning that according to experts, some foods could work wonders in reducing the levels of cortisol, which is a stress hormone.

It is strongly recommended to snack on nuts, which are loaded with B vitamins.

According to Ellen Albertson, Ph.D., R.D., a psychologist in Burlington, Vermont, B vitamins keep our neurotransmitters in their happy place and help us handle the fight-or-flight stress response.

Scientists further recommend intake of red bell peppers, which have abundant levels of vitamin C.

A study was carried out in the Psychopharmacology.

In this research, it has been found intake of high doses of vitamin C prior to engaging in stress-inducing activities led to reduced blood pressure.

It is further worth mentioning that the subjects were able to recover faster from the cortisol surge than the placebo.

Other highly recommended foods are salmon and spinach.

Today, more and more people are investigating into the therapeutic goodness of some natural remedies like ashwagandha.

It is worth noting that in multiple research studies, ashwagandha has been found to offer a range of health benefits. It is particularly found to be useful in reducing the levels of cortisol inside the body.

In a study, researchers had chronically stressed adults treated with ashwagandha. In this research, it has been found that the use of this medicinal herb led to significantly greater decreases in the levels of cortisol compared to the control group.

Further, researchers reveal that the highest dose of ashwagandha led to a 30 percent decrease on average.

It is worth noting that the use of ashwagandha has actually long been found to be highly therapeutic. It is even widely resorted to nowadays via supplementation, such as the use of NutraHerbals Ashwagandha.

This medicinal herb has been found to have adaptogenic, antidepressant, anxiolytic, antioxidant, neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, anti-angiogenic agents, tannins, potassium, nitrate, fatty acids and glucose.

It doesn’t just have immunomodulatory, antimicrobial, cardioprotective, hypocholesteremic, and anti-malarial potentials.

All of these therapeutic agents can be obtained through the use of NutraHerbals Ashwagandha, which is popularized by its high potency and purity (amazon.com/organic-ashwagandha-root-powder/dp/B01GZALWGO).
