(Newswire.net — June 25, 2015) Colorado –The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the charity known as myTEAM TRIUMPH will be proudly participating in the Sprint Triathlon at the 8th Annual Boulder Sunrise Event! This inspiring race will be taking place on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the beautiful Boulder Reservoir in Boulder, Colorado.
myTEAM TRIUMPH is an athletic ride-along program that was specifically created for children, teens, adults and veterans who have disabilities and would normally not be able to experience endurance events such as triathlons or road races. The purpose is to provide these individuals with the exciting opportunity to participate in some fun and friendly competition.
The nonprofit charity’s mission is “To enhance the health and well being of individuals with disabilities by fostering lasting, authentic relationships through the teamwork environment of endurance athletics.” And that’s definitely what they’ll be doing at this upcoming event, which will entail a Sprint run at the base of the fabulous foothills. This will be the 2nd Triathlon event for the Rocky Mountain chapter of myTEAM TRIUMPH.
Chapter president, Susan Golicic said “We are excited to have two of our Captains – Zak and Savannah – repeat this event and to have Captain Lauren participate in her first triathlon!”
The Boulder Sunrise Tri/Du/Run is hosted by Your Cause Sports, who believes in “Racing For All The Right Reasons”, and will be providing a proper race atmosphere for beginners and veteran triathletes alike. Featuring low stress starts and a well-marked course, it’s a safe competition that’s suitable for all sorts of skill levels. Competitors will be challenged with exceptional courses and the capable staff will be loaded with triathletes who know how to oversee and ensure a quality race experience. Part of the entry fees are even directed to the nonprofit of the participants choice. It should prove to be quite an event for everyone attending. All of this among one of the most scenic courses in the great state of Colorado!
With sufficient support, small nonprofits like myTEAM Triumph can certainly make a BIG difference. The Chapter relies on donations from individuals and companies like Hach, a local business in Loveland Colorado providing support for this race. You can make a tax-deductible donation online.
