(Newswire.net — January 27, 2021) Orlando, FL — Ophthalmologists have long been recommending some tricks to help preserve and enhance eye health.

Conditions like age-related macular degeneration (AMD) continue to affect more and more people, especially those in their 60s.

It is worth mentioning that this eye disease may worsen over time, and is the leading cause of severe, permanent vision loss. It is worth noting that there is another form of macular degeneration called Stargardt disease or juvenile macular degeneration, which affects children and young adults.

During its early stage, there is usually no noticeable symptoms. It might not even be diagnosed until it has already caused damage on both eyes. Some of its symptoms are dark, blurry areas in the center of vision, worse or less clear vision, and different color perception.

Over decades, scientists have been carrying out studies to look into the all-natural remedies potentially helpful for the eyes.

These include the use of nutrients like B vitamins, which have long been known to be vital for various aspects of health. However, there are many people who still suffer from the consequences of having their deficiencies.

One of the contributing factors of inadequate B vitamin levels is intake of certain medications, such as isoniazid, anticonvulsants, hydralazine, and corticosteroids.

Aside from the use of these medications, these deficiencies may also be due to gut malabsorption conditions.

In healthy individuals, B vitamins are effectively absorbed by the gut and into the bloodstream. Conditions involving gut malabsorption, such as ulcerative colitis or Celiac disease, may prevent B vitamins from entering the bloodstream. This, significantly drops vitamin B levels.

When it comes to taking better care of the eyes, it is wise to increase intake of vitamin B6. Various studies have shown that vitamin B6 may play a vital role in the prevention of diseases affecting the eyes.

This particularly pertains to a type of vision loss affecting older adults known as age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Some studies suggest there is a link between reduced blood levels of vitamin B6 and certain eye health issues, which block veins connecting to the retina.

One controlled study was carried out and it involved more than 500 individuals. It has been found that the lowest blood levels of B6 were significantly linked with retinal disorders.

Today, more and more consumers turn to the use of formulas like Divine Bounty B Vitamin Complex.  It contains Choline, Pantothenic acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Niacin, Riboflavin, Thiamin, and vitamin B6 (www.amazon.com/dp/B07414752B).
