(Newswire.net — June 5, 2013) — Randy Foreman has a passion for asking questions and that is the reason he decided to be a journalist. His stomping ground is Washington D.C. and he was concerned that other people weren’t asking the questions that need to be asked.
Born in 1976 in Waterloo, Iowa on the edge of the city, next to the farms, Randy Foreman was an Eagle Scout who climbed Mount Baldy at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and camped out in 29 below zero weather in Northern Minnesota in a snow fort in February.
At school, he had a love for the outdoors, bikes, politics and learning. He graduated with a double major in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Northern Iowa in 1999.
“Randy Foreman is a great investigator and a good storyteller. He has a passion for news and really knows his way around Washington D.C. We are thrilled to have Randy as part of our team, because we were missing important coverage of politics in the nation’s Capital,” said Alan Gray, NewsBlaze publisher.
Foreman interned for Chuck Grassley, and started in the Dirksen Senate office building basement for the Senate Post Office, and worked for Colorado Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell in his mail room during the anthrax scares of 9-11. He has also worked for a Super PAC.
Then he worked five years in the Capitol, aiding tourists as a senate doorkeeper for the Senate Seargant at arms, and he has seen every type of tour group imaginable from the basement of the Capitol.
He became a traffic reporter for traffic.com, afterwards flying in the flight restricted zone in an airplane. He helped navigate pilots to traffic accidents who were former second officers flying Air Force One, and he has 25 hours of private pilot time including flying from Washington to St Louis.
“I’ve always been interested in news. Researching, investigating, interacting with people and writing stories is what I love to do. That is what gets me up in the morning, so I can get the information that others don’t even think about,” Foreman said.
Randy Foreman is an important part of the NewsBlaze team. His work can be seen on the Randy Foreman profile page.
