(Newswire.net — September 9, 2014) Pasadena, CA — PRESSfeed, the social online newsroom, today launched two new features in response to the growing demand by the media for visual content and access to company experts.
- Featured Story – A section at the top of the newsroom for a story the company wants to highlight. It has a larger image than other news items in the newsroom. You can choose to feature a release when you add it to the newsroom – all it takes is one click.
- Expert Database –In recent surveys reporters and editors have listed ‘experts they can quote’ as one of the main factors that lead to press releases being used. However, corporate America is not featuring their experts in their newsrooms. The PRESSfeed 2014 study of company newsrooms – the Fortune 100, Fortune 500 and the Inc. 500 – revealed that only 21.6% have experts available in their newsroom, with bios and images. Just three percent (3%) have videos of their experts in their newsroom. The PRESSfeed expert database allows you to add experts to a section that shows up on the home page of the newsroom, with a thumbnail of the expert and their area of expertise. This makes it immediately visible to the journalist or blogger visiting your newsroom.
To see the full list of experts you simply click on the more button and you get the page of experts with their headshot, bio link and video with embed code, if one has been posted to the newsroom.
