(Newswire.net — September 10, 2021) Orlando, FL — Multiple research studies carried out in the past have shown that regular engagement in exercise produces a myriad of health benefits. It may even ward off some of the world’s chronic and prevalent diseases.
A study was carried out and published in the Circulation, which is American Heart Association’s flagship journal.
In this research, it has been found that individuals who exercise regularly appear to have a reduced risk of hypertension. This remains true even if they live in areas with relatively high air pollution.
The World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines reveal that over 91 percent of people around the world actually live in areas where air quality doesn’t meet its guidelines. This is why the risk-benefit link between air pollution and physical activity is a relevant public concern.
According to study author Xiang Qian Lao, Ph.D. extended outdoor activity in urban areas increases the intake of air pollutants, which can worsen the harmful health effects of air pollution.
Lao is an associate professor at the Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in Shatin, Hong Kong.
“While we found that high physical activity combined with lower air pollution exposure was linked to lower risk of high blood pressure, physical activity continued to have a protective effect even when people were exposed to high pollution levels. The message is that physical activity, even in polluted air, is an important high blood pressure prevention strategy,” Lao added.
Scientists looked into over 140,000 non-hypertensive adults in Taiwan and tracked them for an average of 5 years. Further, they classified the physical activity levels of every adult weekly as inactive, moderately active, or highly active.
The findings reveal that individuals who are highly active in a physical sense and exposed to reduced levels of pollution have a lessened odds of developing high blood pressure.
An increasing number of studies are highly investigating the remedies potentially helpful in fighting hypertension. There are actually many proven ways to do it aside from exercising regularly, and one is to ensure proper nutrition.
Intake of B vitamins is particularly found beneficial. These nutrients have long been researched due to their relevance to the various aspects of health. They are also found helpful in warding off certain diseases.
They are obtained widely nowadays through supplementation, such as the use of Divine Bounty B Vitamin Complex. This amazing formula continues to be a popular choice and is known for its high potency and purity.
