(Newswire.net — May 14, 2014) — In a recent article, the site that keeps families playing together, Our Family Fun Night, reports on the new summer softball league created by Scott Tucker.
“When this news hit our inbox we were all just waiting to get started on it,” Jann Simpson of Our Family Fun Night commented. “Summer sports are one of the most popular topics on the site, so it wasn’t really up for discussion if this would be a feature or not.”
Scott Tucker recalls the call he received from Simmons that started their work together, “When she originally called me I wasn’t sure she had the right number,” says Tucker. “But after she explained a little more I knew we would be able to help each other. The whole point of this league was to get more local businesses interacting with each other both professionally and recreationally, so the more people we have to spread the word the better.”
“We loved the idea right off the bat,” Simpson of Our Family Fun Night went on. “Families love to go to sporting events together and it’s that much more exciting if one or more family members are actually participating in the game. Usually it’s parents watching kids, so this will also be a good change for the kids to see that their parents still know how to play in a ‘real game’ as well.”
Scott Tucker is owner and head cook at a local diner that has been feeding he community for over seven years now. His wife and three boys will be attending as many games as possible to cheer him on during the summer league.
About Our Family Fun Night
Our Family Fun Night is designed with one aim in mind: to help families spend as much quality time together as possible. With todays online culture, it’s becoming ever more difficult to sit down and spend time with family members without watching a movie, or getting interrupted by a text. This site is here to give you more options of family activities. We have a growing forum of members with families giving all their ideas and input as well so there’s no excuse of being short of ideas. With our new map database, users will be able to post family oriented events as they are scheduled so you will know if there is anything in your neighborhood. Turn off the computer, put the phone on silent, and have some fun in the real world while it’s still here.
